The SuperSport app won’t open since I updated to version 5.13, 2 days ago. Please assist

Living abroad, I love all the sports that the app offers. Unfortunately, the app is currently working very poorly for me since the last update. I don’t know if I can continue to use it because I have enjoyed it so much before. I don’t stream from the app but just follow all the great sports offered.

*Updated* I have had a love-hate relationship with this app. This is my 3rd review update. At one stage, the app was slow, did not scroll well, the focus was so much on advertising and betting that the app just did not work well at all. The app was fixed. Recently, the app stopped updating the news feed. It took 5 days before it was fixed. As of right now, the app is working again and when it works right, it really is a great app to work with if you like following all different kinds of sports and results. I’m sure this won’t be my last review update.

Wow, this app is literally useless i can watch or see any scores if i live in america. A week ago i couldn’t see anything on here, now today it’s saying DStv content is currently not available in your region. PLEASE FIX THIS NOW

This is probably the worst redesign ever. Do you even have UI people working in this app? It takes forever to get somewhere. That landing screen is a huge watse. What a shame. Constantly seeing ' no data found for event' while the game is being played. You can't exit or do anything else other than close the app and try again

You used to get all sports info on this app. Straight forward and easy. Now, you never know what you’re getting. Sometimes it just updates a tournament’s info with last year's info. Terribly frustrating. I might have battered wife syndrome, because I always hope they’ve fixed it. But they never do.

After the last update, app freezes at the white loading screen on my iPhone XR. V5.27 in question. Please fix!

SuperSport logo and nothing else. For such a competent broadcaster, the best sports broadcaster I have encountered world wide, they sure can’t get an app right

Unfortunately since the iOS update as well as SuperSport update- the app no longer opens

This app works for a month and then not for a month….Every time after an update there are issues…you would think a big company like DSTV/Media24 would give there app 110% effort but unfortunatly not. ;(

Awesome app

I don’t think these people understand the frustration this app causes. After the launch of the all new version, we have been asked to review it. Extensively so. Still those complaints have not been addressed. Aaarrrrgghhh!!! SuperSport is just good with Live events. Highlights packages and Apps... preposterous.

I use am iPhone 6 and it crashes anytime I’m trying to watch premier league highlights. This is very bad, I have contacted the support team by nothing seems to change. Please go back to the previous update, this one is a mess !

I like the new app design. This app was a bit tired looking and it was time for a reskin. That said, the new preference system is completely unusable. As a sports nut who used to use the app regularly I’m now faced with a terrible job trying to list a billion preferences just to get the app back to what it was. I spent ages trying to tweak the preferences just to get major sports headlines and I’ve failed. All I get is random irrelevant headlines at the top. Please start with sensible defaults and allow customization. Starting from zero leaves the user too much to do to just restore existing functionality.

The latest version of Supersport is a real disappointment. What was the point, now less info is available and the app is slow and more awkward to use and find your way around. A good example of fixing something that was not broken!

Quite why this app needed to change so drastically is unclear. I know SuperSport are a pretty poor organization in any case, but, I at least was able to see all the sports I like in one place. I live outside SA and I’m not sure why the need to personalize my feed requires you to know and share my info. Just be a sports app like you used to and stop trying to make money off user information and preferences.

I’ve given it a few weeks and the app is still terrible, it’s slightly more stable but the results are either wrong or not updated! Totally unusable.

This is an appalling app

The new app is terrible. It was very easy to navigate before, even when I was a newbie. Now one has to sign up and they added so many steps. It’s a messy app. Who ever was in charge of these changes clearly did not do any user testing.

I use SuperSport to follow all my favorite sports from the USA. So now in order to customize the app I must have a dumb MultiChoice or DSTV account. Really!!! I have never seen such incompetence in my life. GOOD BYE SUPERSPORT!!!! You are all about the money not about loyalty.

Allow this app to live stream from SuperSport app Its sooo much easier than switching and waiting for DStv now to open Secondly when watching highlights it refuses to go into landscape mode.

All I can ever say is that the app Is the best sport app in Africa but I rate 4 star because of some channels are missing.. it’s not showing the whole SuperSport Channel..

In full screen mode the app no longer displays the highlights in landscape mode? What happened

Find the navigation difficult at times, more videos and simpler interface would be good. Thanks.

Constant crashes and long load times make what could be a really good app - not so. Maybe try ease up on the amount of ads loading to try free up some of the app's resources.

App is very good and user friendly.

A great sport channel but u guys should invite local African footballers to the studios for some analyst, show the Of the Asian league too

It is never up to date and sometimes you wait forever before functions work. Embarrassing representation of South Africa.

Cant watch live videos on app

This app is very slow to load and to update live scores and commentary. It is consistently slow on Saturdays during matches. Notices are very slow.

Always seems to go down at the crucial moment, probably not enough capacity!

App is glitchy and often hangs upon opening

Even when I hit the Masters button is shows “no event scheduled “

How hard is it to keep your match center updated? I really wish there was an alternative as this app goes beyond frustrating to get accurate real time updates.

If there was a better app to check up on South African sport I’d use it. First off steaming is garbage. I don’t even attempt it anymore. I use the app to read news and check scores, but even that is unreliable at best. Under the scheduled games tab I see games from 2 weeks ago?! While under results I see nothing? The Today tab is always blank even though I KNOW there was rugby today. Sort yourselves out kids. Either some idiotic nepotism is happening here or you really need to reconsider who manages this app. Like I said. I hate this app, but it’s the only one I can see that gives me the targeted news I want.

Sometimes you should not change something unless you can improve it. The new app is terrible and the design is average at best. What a pity, has so much potential.

SuperSport need to decide what they want this app to be and then make it do that function. It is shocking that in 2017 this app cannot stream live sports reliably. It is constantly skipping back and forth and fast forwarding to catch up on parts of the game missed when it skipped back. The live streaming experience is terrible. Rather make it a live scores app and let it do only that than offer up substandard experience

This app used to be perfect for checking match times and keeping track of scores but now show (null)(null) for match times?

This app has everything that you could want... News, reviews, live scores,videos the works. Only problem is that it hardly ever works when you need it. While I can watch full movies on my network connection I cannot refresh or have a reliable video feed from SuperSport Live scores often lag by 5 - 10 mins. Not to mention (null)(null) on schedule even when time & venue were published long time ago... still lots to fix

It is pathetic how, so long after so many complaints, DSTV still cant get a basic video streaming app right. Freezes, crashes, pauses, jumps a minute back in time and and and. Seriously lucky that Naspers can use Tencent to stay afloat if this app is anything to judge by.

Can’t watch for longer then 3 mins before app freezes - have to reload everytime Some streams take forever to load and some don’t even load Terrible app
